Officer Sheldon Krc, and Officer Kami Stockett will present CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events). The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) was developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center at Texas State University in 2004, and was designed to provide strategies, guidance, and a proven plan to survive active shooter events. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, an understanding of the human body’s mental and physical responses to high stress incidents, and civilian response strategies and tactics.
